Type Size and Spacing

The official ASCE Subbrand type is Futura Standard Heavy, all uppercase letters. This font should always be used and attention paid that the Heavy weight has been selected. There are a few guidelines to follow in order to ensure correct size and spacing.

Exhibit 1. The height of the Subbrand type should equal the height from the baseline to the top of the bridge in the A in ASCE.

Exhibit 2. The vertical line between the ASCE logo and the Subbrand should equal the width of one vertical line found in the characters of the Subbrand text, such as the letter “L.” The space in between a Subbrand that contains two lines should also equal this measurement.

Exhibit 3. The space between the ASCE logo and the vertical bar should equal 3 times the width of the vertical bar. The space between the vertical bar and the Subbrand should also equal this measurement.
